Accessibility to participate

Every effort will be made to support you to feel comfortable and included at the AWM Conference 2026. Should you require any specific assistance in accessing the conference, or any arrangements to be made on your behalf, please include details on your registration form under the section 'Accessibility Requirements'. This will enable us to make your attendance at the conference a pleasant and comfortable experience. You may also contact Conlog on +61 2 6281 6624.


Acknowledgement/confirmation

All communication with registered delegates will be by email. All registrations will be sent a confirmation letter and tax invoice within five (5) working days of submitting registration form. If you do not receive the email, please check your spam folder prior to contacting Conlog.

If your email address has changed since completing the registration form, be sure to advise your new email address to Conlog.

Cancellation policy and refunds
  • All cancellations and requests for registration refunds must be made in writing to awmconference@conlog.com.au
  • Any changes to your registration or optional bookings will not be accepted over the phone. Please email your changes to awmconference@conlog.com.au
  • If you are unable to attend the conference after submitting your online registration, you can nominate a substitute. All substitutes names are to be received via email to awmconference@conlog.com.au
  • Cancellations made on/before Tuesday 18 August 2026 will receive a refund less an administration and cancellation fee of $110
  • Cancellations made on/after Wednesday 19 August 2026 will not receive a refund. Exceptions are at the discretion of the organising committee.
  • Refunds will not be issued until after the conference
  • Accommodation and airline cancellations are at the discretion of the individual concerned.
Catering and dietary requirements

Morning, afternoon teas and lunches will be provided. If you have not already notified Conlog of any special dietary requirements (e.g., shellfish allergy, vegetarian), please do so as soon as possible by emailing awmconference@conlog.com.au

Dietary requests will be catered for to the best of the caterer's ability. Individuals with severe allergies are requested to advise Conlog of their requirements prior to the conference, and bring any allergy medication (EpiPen, Phenergan etc.) as prescribed by your doctor to the conference and any associated function. Whilst due care is taken by the organisers and caterer, individuals must take primary responsibility for their own health.

Conditions of entry

The following are conditions of entry to the Memorial buildings and grounds. Failure to comply may result in refusal of entry or eviction.

  • The Memorial reserves the right to refuse entry to or evict any persons who do not comply with signposted notices, who behave inappropriately and do not comply with any reasonable direction given by Memorial staff or Memorial security officers.
  • The Memorial reserves the right to inspect bags.
  • Baggage or receptacles larger than 40cm x 30cm x 30cm must be cloaked at facilities provided.
  • If possible, please wear backpacks on the front of the body while in the galleries.
  • Small handbags and camera cases may be carried with you.
  • Still photography and handheld video cameras are permitted.
  • Artwork and collection items are not to be touched or handled.
  • Patrons must obey all signs and notices, and any reasonable direction given by Memorial staff or Memorial security officers.
  • Trained and registered assistance animals, such as guide dogs, are permitted.
  • Please ensure clothing, general conduct, and behaviour (whether through language, gestures, or otherwise) is respectful at all times. Footwear should be worn at all times.
  • Food and drink (except water and baby foods) are not permitted in the galleries (designated areas are provided for feeding infants).
  • The Memorial is a smoke-free building. Our staff can direct you to designated smoking areas.
  • Children under the age of 15 years are not permitted without adult supervision.
  • Patrons may be subject to monitoring via the Memorial’s closed-circuit television. By entering the venue, patrons consent to the use of that recording for any purpose considered appropriate by the Memorial.
  • Unless prior written approval has been granted by the Memorial, the sale of goods or services, and the conducting of charitable collections or fundraising, is not permitted on Memorial grounds.
  • Memorial land must not be used for any political or other demonstrations or activities that are likely to cause offence to members of the public.

Refusal of entry

  • For the comfort and safety of all patrons, and to ensure a respectful environment, the Memorial reserves the right to:
  • Refuse entry to or evict any persons who do not comply with signposted notices or any reasonable direction given by Memorial staff or Memorial security officers.
  • Refuse entry to any person who attempts to bring in any restricted or prohibited items.
  • Direct any persons or members of the public, as the case may be, to leave the Memorial building or the Memorial land, or both, where it has reasonable grounds to believe that public safety is or may be endangered, or the conduct of those persons is likely to cause offence to members of the public.

Restricted and prohibited items

  • The Memorial reserves the right to restrict or prohibit specific items from entering the Memorial building or Memorial land, or both, including where they may be considered to pose a risk to the safety of people and property, or cause offence to members of the public. These include:
  • Items that could be used as a weapon, including sharp items such as knives and cutting tools
  • Suspicious items or items which may look like a weapon, including replicas
  • Marking instruments such as spray paint that could be used to mark or deface property
  • Illegal substances, including controlled, dangerous, or illicit drugs
  • alcohol
  • Flammable or hazardous devices, including aerosol containers, fireworks, flares, and laser pointers
  • Political or other signage, banners, logos, or clothing that is likely to be offensive to others
  • Drones or unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs)
  • Items that may be considered unnecessary for visiting the Memorial galleries such as bike helmets and large or bulky items
  • Items that may cause injury, harm, or public nuisance, including noise-making and amplification devices

Dress code

The dress code for all conference sessions is business casual.


Fees

All fees must be paid in advance of the conference. Goods and Services in Australia are subject to 10% tax (GST). All conference registrations and ticket rates quoted within this website are in Australian Dollars (AUD) and are inclusive of GST.

Insurance

Registrations fees do not include insurance of any kind. It is strongly recommended that participants take out their own general travel insurance. It is suggested the insurance policy should also cover loss of fees/deposit, airfares, accommodation charges, medical expenses, loss or damage to personal property and repatriation expenses. The organisers to do not take responsibility for any delegate failing to insure.


Photography

Photographs will be taken throughout the conference and social functions. If you do not wish to have your photograph taken, please email awmconference@conlog.com.au or visit the registration desk upon your arrival at the conference. The conference sessions will be recorded, including audiovisual recordings of attendees who ask questions during Q+A sessions.


Name badges

Your official conference name badge must be worn at all times throughout the conference, as it is your entry to all sessions.


Payment

All payments must be received prior to the conference. All fees and quotes are GST inclusive.

Tax invoices will be following after the receipt of registration and payment. VISA, Mastercard and AMEX are accepted. When you pay by credit card, Lasch Pty Ltd TA Conference Logistics will appear on your statement.

Please note credit card payments incur a 2.75% fee. This fee will be added to the amount showing once you select your card type.

By registering you give the Australian War Memorial permission to use the contact information to invite feedback on this event. It may also be used to introduce other Memorial engagement opportunities such as newsletters. You can unsubscribe at any time.
